Sunday 20 October 2019
Sydney Bus Museum, Leichhardt

Join the Sydney Bus Museum for our London Transport Day and celebrate all things British!

We'll be operating classic London buses from the Sydney Bus Museum in Leichhardt to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) York Street throughout the day.

Four red British double deckers will be available for rides throughout the day:

  • Two classic London Transport AEC Routemasters, RM 1708 & RML 2353 (from Red London Bus)

  • The predecessor to the Routemaster, AEC RT 3708. Did you know London Transport operated double the number of RTs compared to the famous Routemasters?

  • A former Lothian Buses Edinburgh Volvo Olympian, now operating for Blue Mountains Explorer Bus

Plus, London Taxi rides!

Films on London's transport system will be shown throughout the day including London buses during the war.

Devonshire teas including scones will be available in our specially set up tea room on the day.

There is no pre-booking required, simply turn up at the QVB Stand D (York St) to catch a bus to the Museum and pay your entry at the door.

A full timetable will be confirmed closer to the event.
